Tea Party

I don’t often post about personal things, but this time I just couldn’t resist! I wanted to share pictures from a tea party I recently hosted for my daughter’s fourth birthday. We invited the girls to wear their “fanicest” dress and bring their favorite doll to join in the festivities.

Everyone enjoyed coloring and decorating their own tea party hats!

I enjoyed collecting antique pink and green Majolica pottery, depression glass and creamware to set the table for the tea party. I used Sferra linen place mats and even dusted off silver flatware from my own collection for the girls to eat with. We served strawberries with whipped cream, cheese straws, chicken salad sandwiches and of course… birthday cake!

Thank goodness for Pinterest because it proved to be a huge help in my party planning process! It is such a great vehicle for inspiration (and relaxation at the end of a long day)… What would we do without it?! Here are some of the images I gathered from Pinterest:
